    Vaccination Programme

    We have currently vaccinated over 2,500 patients in at risk groups at date of writing and we will be continuing to contact each group as per Health & Social Care Board instructions each week. The number of patients we can call each week is limited by the small supply vaccine we get each week. If you are age 50 or over and have not yet received a vaccine through us or through one of the Regional Vaccination Centre's, please phone the Surgery to obtain an appointment.

    Zero Tolerance To Abuse

    While we have been heartened by many words of encouragement, patience and random acts of kindness from the majority of patients throughout the last 12 months, Staff have on occasions recently, unfortunately, been subject to abuse and verbal aggression on the telephone, in person and via social media platforms. Please be aware we are all trying to do our best and the NHS has a Zero Tolerance Policy to abuse of any kind to all Staff. Many of whom have been working long hours tirelessly throughout this pandemic, with frequent cancelled leave and working in PPE in all weathers both indoors and outdoors to provide the best service possible. Please do not use Social Media to make complaints about the Practice Staff or Service. Any issues or concerns please contact the Surgery and speak to the Practice Manager. We can then discuss and investigate the issue.

    Telephone information

    The telephone lines are extremely busy, if you are on hold for more than 10 minutes please hang up and phone again. We ae part of the wider South Eastern Trust phone system, calls can get "lost" in queues and loops and this is out of our control. The South Eastern Trust are aware of the ongoing issues with the phones but please be assured it is NOT our staff hanging up the phones or cutting the calls off. When you phone the Surgery to request a telephone call with any of the Medical Professionals, the Receptionists will ask you to give a brief description of what the call is in relation to, this is not for the Receptionists own information, this is for the relevant professional to have an insight into the problem before they phone you back.

    Masks

    Please be aware that masks are required to be worn in the Health Centre at ALL times by patients and staff. This is to reduce spread of COVID 19 but also to protect vulnerable patients and staff.

    Telephone issues

    We are currently aware of an issue with our telephone lines, especially if you are calling from an EE Mobile or a VOIP phone system. This issue has been reported to the South Eastern Trust and hopefully it will be rectified soon.

    IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR ALL PATIENTS

    To help reduce the potential spread of infection we are advising all patients to phone before coming to the Health Centre. When You ring us, our staff will ask you some questions to determine your condition. Some of these questions may include if you have a temperature or a cough. These questions help us to determine the best action to take but also helps protect our staff and other vulnerable patients. If appropriate, you may receive a call back from a GP or be given other relevant advice. If you need a repeat prescription please order in the usual way either by phoning 02897 510575 option 2 or online. Please do not come to the Health Centre We will update this information as necessary.
